Police find storage unit filled with drugs, gun following Ferndale man's arrest

Johnstown police say they found more drugs in the storage unit of a Ferndale man who was arrested Wednesday after driving under the influence and having 60 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

Police say 27-year-old Andrew Colvin was arrested Wednesday and further investigation led police to a storage unit in Stonycreek Township that was owned by Colvin.

Police say during an exterior search performed by K9 officer Thor, the dog indicated there was an odor of narcotics.

Johnstown police, assisted by the District Attorney’s Office, Cambria County Drug Task Force and the Federal Safe Streets Program, obtained a search warrant for the storage unit and inside, they say they found the following:

  • 7 baggies of suspected cocaine
  • 3 baggies of crystal meth
  • 11 bags of brown/tan crystal substance of suspected crystal meth/heroin
  • Suboxone strips
  • 143 white pills (unknown)
  • Large amount of suspected Fentanyl
  • 217 THC Inserts
  • 15 vacuum sealed bags of marijuana
  • 6 Jars and 6 bags of marijuana
  • 7 Jars of THC wax
  • 143 pills (unknown)
  • 394 Nerds Ropes edibles containing 400mg of THC
  • 5 Vapes for marijuana
  • 20 Pack THC vapes
  • 1 Glock 9mm handgun
  • 2 bags containing MDA

Police say all of the items have been sent to the Pennsylvania Crime Lab for testing.

Colvin faces additional charges and is being held in the Cambria County Prison on an additional $500,000 bail.
