Yankee Dryer Super Load continues its journey through Centre Co.

PENNDOT confirms that I-80 has been shut down after the Yankee Dryer Super Load broke down while continuing its journey.

Several travelers have posted on social media and have told 6 News that traffic has been backed up for miles behind the massive oversize load throughout its travels today.

According to Penn DOT, the Yankee Dryer Super Load is continuing its journey through Centre County Sunday, as it makes its way back to Interstate 80.

It is expected to pass through the towns of Port Matilda and Milesburg.

As of approximately 11:00 a.m, the vehicle was slowly moving toward Unionville along Route 220.

Again, PennDOT is advising motorists to seek alternative routes of travel, and the fully planned route can be found on the PennDOT website.
