State police say a chase that began on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Monday evening ended in Huntingdon County and sent two people to the hospital.
Investigators say around 7:40 p.m., troopers attempted a traffic stop on a Dodge pickup truck, hauling a trailer, near the Turnpike's 172 eastbound mile marker in Taylor Township, Fulton County.
Troopers say the driver failed to stop and eventually exited the Turnpike at the Fort Littleton exit.
Police say the chase continued onto Route 522 in Huntingdon County where troopers deployed spike strips.
Authorities say the driver lost control and overturned while attempting to negotiate a curve.
Troopers say both the driver and passenger were transported to UPMC Altoona for treatment of unknown injuries.
State police are investigating the incident and say they plan to file charges against the driver, who was identified as an Allentown man.
