Veterans invited to participate in Altoona parade
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — The Blair County War Veterans Council is calling for veterans to participate Monday in the Altoona Memorial Day Parade.
The parade starts at 10 a.m. and lineup begins at 9:15 a.m.

Former MLB player Juan Encarnacion accused of sexually assaulting daughter
According to a report from ESPN, former Major League Baseball player Juan Encarnacion has been accused of sexually assaulting his daughter.
Authorities with the attorney general's office in the Dominican Republic reportedly told ESPN that Encarnacion assaulted his daughter in May while she was sleeping.
Investigators told reporters that Encarnacion has since been taken into custody and a preliminary hearing was held Saturday.
Dominican law prohibits Encarnacion from being released on bail.

REYNOLDSVILLE, Pa. — A Jefferson County convenience store has found a new way to keep serving customers following a fire that destroyed the business.
The One Stop Convenience Store opened a temporary store at its former location on Main Street in Reynoldsville.
Employee Kandy Bannon said the idea came up after a discussion on how they could keep serving the community.

POASD Votes to Push Back School Start time
