LACKAWANNA COUNTY, Pa. — A vehicle accident in Lackawanna County left one teen dead and another injured the morning of June 10, state police say. According to a press release, Ayden Beckage, 18, was traveling north on State Route 307 with a 17-year-old male passenger when he lost control of his vehicle. State police say Beckage's vehicle then traveled across both southbound lanes of travel and shoulder before going down an embankment. [Read More]

Dog treats recalled for Salmonella contamination

A company has recalled some of its dog treats after a sample tested positive for salmonella, according to the United States Food and Drug Administration. Stormberg Foods announced that its chicken dog treats, which were sold under three brands, were recalled after the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services said their treats were tainted with the bacteria. PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded veteran defenseman Chad Ruhwedel to the New York Rangers for a fourth round pick in 2027. The 33-year-old signed with Pittsburgh following their Stanley Cup championship run in 2016. Trial date set for Brian Giles, Johnstown man charged with homicide in wife's death

Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — A trial date has formally been scheduled for Johnstown man Brian Giles, who was charged last year in the death of his wife Nancy, following a 3-and-a-half year investigation. Cameron Co. Fair scheduled to begin Monday

The Cameron County Fair is officially kicking off this Monday in Emporium.

It will begin with a tractor-trailer parade through downtown at 5 p.m., followed by the opening ceremony at the fairgrounds at 6 p.m.
