ISLAMABAD (AP) — Flash floods from heavy seasonal rains have killed at least 68 people in Afghanistan, Taliban officials said Saturday, adding the death toll was based on preliminary reports.
Afghanistan has been witnessing unusually heavy seasonal rains.
In the hard-hit western province of Ghor, 50 people were reported dead, said Abdul Wahid Hamas, spokesman for the provincial governor. He also said the province has suffered significant financial losses after thousands of homes and properties were damaged and hundreds of hectares of agricultural land destroyed following Friday's floods, including the capital city Feroz Koh.

Florida police investigating death of PGA Tour player Grayson Murray
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (WPEC) — An investigation is being conducted into the death of two-time PGA Tour winner and Florida residentGrayson Murray.
The Palm Beach Gardens Police Department said on Tuesday that it is investigating the 30-year-old golfer's death, which occurred inside a residence within city limits on May 25 at around 11 a.m.
Following an initial investigation, police said there does not appear to be any signs of foul play.

Former Curwensville baseball coach sentenced to decades in prison for child sex abuse
Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities in Clearfield County say a former Curwensville high school baseball coach has been sentenced to serve up to multiple decades in prison after pleading guilty to child sex abuse.
According to county District Attorney Ryan Sayers, Thomas Harzinski appeared in court this week where he pleaded guilty to several charges in the case, including sexual assault of a minor and indecent assault.
He was then sentenced to serve 13 to 31 years in state prison, followed by three years of probation.

Sixth person dies from injuries suffered in Pennsylvania house explosion
PLUM, Pa. (AP) — The co-owner of a home that exploded in western Pennsylvania last weekend has died from injuries he suffered in the blast, which also killed his wife and four other people.
Paul Oravitz, 56, who had severe burns over most of his body, died Wednesday in a Pittsburgh hospital, four days after the explosion in Plum. The town is about 20 miles east of Pittsburgh.
The cause of the blast - which destroyed three structures and damaged at least a dozen others - remains under investigation, but officials have said Oravitz and his wife, Heather, were having issues with their hot water tank.
